Statement of Intent

Self-Reflection: Making the Statement of Intent with my teammate Kristine was actually a lot of work but also really fun. We spent a lot of time figuring out how to explain our idea properly and make sure everything made sense together. I mostly focused on the artist description, performance, and representation parts because I already had the idea of showing the artist as the older version of the girl in the toxic relationship and i already have the whole storyline idea so it was easier. i also really the story to have no happy ending in a relationship but more towards a self love happy ending.

Honestly, writing it was kinda hard and a bit time consuming especially when it came to explaining things like symbolism and deeper meanings. I know what I want it to look like in my head, but i didn't know how to put all the ideas in my head into words. Still, I learned a lot about how much thought goes into planning a music video, not just the visuals but the message and how it connects to the audience. also we did not have much time because our teacher Mr Nick gave us a short deadline to meet but i'm happy we still got it done.

It took a lot of effort to get everything to sound right, but I think me and Kristine did a good job making it clear and understandable. I’m proud of how it turned out because it really shows what we want the music video to be about.
